A Healthy Lawn

One of the easiest things you can do to improve your lawn -- and save yourself a lot of work -- is to raise your cutting height to about 3 inches. Cutting grass at this height helps it outcompete weeds and develop stronger roots. Deep, strong roots help grass weather drought and fend off pests and diseases. As an added benefit, you won’t have to mow your grass as often as you would if you mowed it shorter.
